Migration to the latest SharePoint environment to facilitate enhanced information exchange is a logical step for Dutch beer brewer Heineken. The new platform will be taken to a higher level with improved performance and seamless connectivity between information systems. The infrastructure will also be prepared to enable working online.
Heineken Nederland will be upgrading from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013, to be used by a total of around 3,000 employees, spread over three breweries, eight regional offices and soft drinks manufacturer and distributor Vrumona. The platform will undergo many improvements, both technically and functionally, providing an optimal exchange of information and simplified management functions. With the right setup and use of improved hardware, the platform can run in the cloud with a guaranteed uptime of 99.9 percent.
Working online
Most of Heineken still works on premises with locally installed software. This can be done much more effectively and efficiently in the cloud. What's more, employees who work online are always assured of a digital workplace, also outside office hours! With just a browser and Internet connection, they can make themselves available instantly for work from any location at any time. Mavention will equip Heineken Nederland with the proper technical tools to help them prepare for working online.
